Modern Internet Technology For Religious Ministers

The internet is a very powerful tool that can be used to spread religious ideas and beliefs. Smart ministers and preachers now use all of the available internet based resources to reach out to a large audience of loyal followers. There has never been an easier way to spread God’s word to the masses. First and foremost, a church congregation or leader needs to register a domain name and then launch a personal website. Such a site usually has an array of useful features that connect a church with its actual leaders and other people from very far away. Ed Young Jr. is an example of a minister that uses the internet to deliver his message on the Christian faith.

Live broadcasts of weekly services can be shown on a website. Such a show can be streamed in real time through the internet. A local church member that is sick can virtually attend such a service. Similarly, an elderly person that can no longer go to Sunday service can stay at home and watch the local minister preach live. All of the services and other presentations by a minister are usually archived in an online section that may feature hundreds of different videos. These videos can even be downloaded and viewed offline at the convenience of a viewer.

Multimedia technology is also used wisely by Christian ministers these days. For example, audio files of a service or sermon can be enjoyed by loyal followers. Such files can be played back through MP3 players when on the go. Additionally, audio recordings of preaching and other services can be played live through local digital radio channels that are accessible through the internet only.

Modern Christian ministers also publish weekly newsletters that are delivered directly to the email boxes of fellow subscribers. These publications feature new information that cover various issues of life from a Christian perspective. Newsletters can also be delivered to followers via mobile apps for smart phones and tablet devices. Such gadget users can receive notifications and alerts when a local minister publishes something new on a website.

Another innovative way to preach online is to launch social media campaigns. Ministers can record their own digital “TV” shows that can be broadcast on a personal website or posted on a social media website. Such shows usually feature a formal interview between a minister and other key figures in the local religious and political community. Modern technology savvy ministers also publish their own blogs that feature daily articles on a variety of topics that don’t necessarily relate to faith all of the time. For example, a minister or church leader can comment on recent events that are shown in the news such as political elections, war, terror and sports.

Faithful followers of a church or particular minister are encouraged to join an online virtual community that includes forums and chat rooms. Such outlets allow people with the same religious views to discuss anything. Online communities also allow for sharing inspirational stories that are related to one’s faith. Additionally, a church’s website can also provide resources for community services such as private schools, child care centers, physicians and much more. Young people can also find dates and potential spouses when signing up at Christian websites that feature an array of helpful resources.

Winning a Lottery

Many people often have dreams of winning the lottery and receiving a significant amount of prize money. Some people often fantasize about what they would with all of the money that is handed out to lottery winners. Playing the lottery to win big is an example of trying to become rich overnight through government sponsored games.

The odds of hitting  jackpots are slim, but most people still continue to play state and out of state lottery. However, there is always a winner that beats the odds and claims a lot of money through lottery games. A simple purchase of a lottery ticket at the gas station or convenience store can pay off big time. Some scratch off games can also earn people plenty of cash rewards. These days, people can actually buy numbers for lottery games online. People can guess their own combination of numbers or use an online generator that automatically creates number sequences for lottery drawings.

When winning the lottery, it’s important to understand some of the financial issues involved. First of all, all money that is won through the lottery is taxable. Therefore, about one third of a million dollar lottery prize is usually taken away for tax purposes. Additionally, state lottery funds don’t hand out large checks in one single day. Lottery winners can expect to receive monthly checks for fair amounts until the net monetary prize is paid off. It’s also important for lottery winners to consult with public accountants and financial management specialists.

Free Shipping Reviews: Awesome Return Policy

Each Christmas I like to ship gifts to relatives living out of state, but I could never find a free shipping website to make the process more cost-efficient. As a result I wouldn’t send out as many gifts as I would have liked. But one day I came across FreeShipping.com while browsing online and… I love it. Why? For starters, it is owned by Clarus Marketing Group, a 10 year running company based in Connecticut that owns websites geared to save customers money – a sure sign that it is a legitimate.  Each package you order gets shipped in an instant; it is incredible service. Also there is a 30 day free trial. Yes, I said the magic word. Free. And if you are somehow dissatisfied with the website, you can cancel at anytime – it’s a win-win situation.

The best part about the website is its awesome return policy. Usually, if someone is not happy with something they bought – the texture, the size, the content – that person is responsible for paying the return shipping fee. It is quite a pain. FreeShipping.com pays the return fee for you. This is especially important to me because I have family members that are extremely picky, and they will not hesitate to show their distaste for a gift.

For my son’s birthday (he’s five years old), I gave him a WWE action figure. I know how much he loves wrestling so buying him a wrestling toy, in my mind, was the perfect idea. Boy was I wrong. As soon as he opened his gift, he started to cry. Turns out, he just wanted a football for his birthday. Fortunately for me, I didn’t have to waste any more money returning the toy.

A few months ago, for my mom’s birthday, I bought her some shoes that she saw in a catalogue and had them shipped to her house – a beautiful pair of black dress shoes with a red line encasing each sole. My mom was elated to see my gift arrive at her door step, but after rushing to open the package and trying on the shoes she realized they were a size too small. With the free shipping return policy at hand, it was easy to return the shoes and getting her a pair with the right size.

Currently, I have had the subscription for over a year, and to this day I still have no free shipping complaints. Who could really complain for a shipping service that charges only $12.97 a month? Most things that I pay for on a monthly basis are bills – electricity, cell phone, car insurance; FreeShipping.com isn’t a bill, it’s a monthly investment in saving money.

It’s About Time

The article written by Alonso Kramer

After ten years of ownership and a couple of costly repairs over the past three months, I think it’s time to start thinking about a new car. I had hoped to keep mine for another couple of years and give it to my daughter when she turns sixteen but I’m not sure it’s going to make it that long! I have no idea what I want and am not in a huge rush to spend the money to buy anything new. Cars have changed so much since the last time I bought one it’s going to take me a little time to research what’s out there using my satellite internet.

There are so many new features that are available but I wonder how many of them are really practical and necessary. Plus with gas prices going up mileage will be a huge concern. I’m also planning to ask some family and friends for their recommendations as well. Not only is the car itself important but when you keep a vehicle as long as I do, the service at the dealership is a huge selling point!

Moving my business to Chicago

This guest post from Lenny Mcknight

When I first started my home based business I had no idea that it would grow at the speed that it did. I am not in an office complex with fifty employees and we are quickly running out of space here. I have started looking at new spaces to move the office and have quickly come to the conclusion that we need to be in town. My husband and I already live in downtown Chicago but I started my business in the suburbs for obvious cost reasons. Now that I have grown the business to a substantial size it is time to bring it in closer to home and where most of my employees live. One of the main headaches with a move like this is making sure that the business doesn’t stop just because we are moving offices. I called to get my T1 Chicago set up right away so that our internet orders can still be coming in and be being processed all the while we are moving desks and phones and what ever else.

TYPE II

This guest post from Edgardo Rosa
I’m glad that I logged onto wirelessinternetproviders.net and got internet service at our house because I have been using it a lot lately. I was recently diagnosed with Type II diabetes. I was really upset when I got the diagnosis because I never really considered myself a candidate. I thought that I was relatively healthy and ate relatively well. Turns out, I haven’t been taking care of myself as well as I should.
I have been using the internet as a resource to understand the disease that I am living with. I had no idea what an A1c or the medications that I was being prescribed were. My doctor gave me some really great internet resources to use. My favorite one is an application that you can download to your phone to help yourself calculate the amount of insulin or medicine that you need to take depending on your blood glucose reading. I can also track my carbs and keep track of how much exercise that I have gotten. The internet is making this much easier!

Expecting baby #2

I appreciate the guest post, Jamie Guy
My husband and I are pregnant! Yes, we are pregnant with our second kid. It was a surprise. We knew there was a chance we could be, but we weren’t really trying to have a second. Nonetheless, we are very excited and can’t wait for the baby to get here. We were trying to rework our budget last night and realized we are going to need to make several adjustments. Babies are very expensive little things and we need to be more prepared for this one than we were for the first. I started calling our utility companies trying to renegotiate rates and packages.
I was very pleasantly surprised by how helpful DIRECT TV BROWNSVILLE was to me. They were able to help me achieve my budget goals and I am thrilled. With the various other negotiations, I am starting to feel much better about our second little baby. I am hopeful that the second will be easier than the first, but I am thinking it might be wishful hoping. However, it never hurts to hope.

My Grandfather

Contribution by Michale Greer
My grandfather loves watching old western movies. He is a huge fan of John Wayne and loves watching any movie that has him in it. He was telling me that he wished he had a tv channel that he showed all of his favorite movies. I showed him how to log on to giveadish.com to find out if there are any channels that show old western movies. He was so happy that he was able to research this and find a tv package that includes a channel with western movies.
This new tv channel never shows a movie that he does not like and he never seems to get tired of the westerns. Sometimes I’ll watch a movie with him and it really seems like he is watching a movie for the first time, even though I know he has seen it many times before. I do not mind watching these movies either. I am glad that there is something that I can share with my grandfather so that I can spend more time with him.

Basketball Wife

Guest post by Von Battle
I moved to a new cubicle at work this week, and thus I have a new neighbor. Her name is Jessica, and she is something else. I didn’t even know Jessica worked for my company because she is in the office so infrequently. Now that we’re neighbors, I have an even better idea of her leisurely schedule. Jessica comes into the office for about three days out of the week. She never stays the whole day, just long enough to make some noise and show her face so no one will move into her cubicle thinking that she no longer works there. If there’s something that I can say about Jessica, it’s that she is always dressed to a T in high high heels, fake eyelashes and designer duds.
I called her the other day because I needed a form that I couldn’t find. I asked her where she was. She hesitated for a moment and then stated she was at lunch. I asked where she was eating. She told the nail salon. Home girl has been watching a bit too much Basketball Wives on her Directtv.

Hair Care

Guest post by Jewel Cole

I saw a Suave commercial this morning while watching TV from HTTP://www.direc4U.COM. It is targeted towards moms and I must say I agree with everything that was said which is rare for me. A lot of us become different people after we become married and have children. My grandmother gave me some advice at my bridal shower that I will never forget. She told me to never let myself go. Always keep yourself maintained. I said I would not let that happen. Well, fast forward some years. After having 2 kids I see exactly what she was talking about. It can be so hard to play dress up when there are babies spitting up on you, older kids tugging and pulling at your leg and a house that looks like a war zone. I used to be known as the woman who always had it together. I wore makeup and heels every day. I have decided bring that woman back, for myself. So mothers, get out of the jogging pants at least once a week and remember the woman you once were. She is still there.
